WHAT IS PITCH PERFECT?
Are you a script writer? Filmmaker? Big idea thinker? Then we want you!
Pitch Perfect is committed to investing in developing Caribbean content ideas as a foundation for a long-lasting film industry in the region. We are putting our storytelling on screens locally, regionally and internationally. We’re searching for film, television series and documentary ideas that will go from script to execution.
This competition is another step forward in developing an active creative ecosystem to provide quality and consistent Caribbean stories. It’s time that we ensure Caribbean content creation has the facility to reach international distribution and we want to be part of building that pipeline.

Who can enter?
Pitch Perfect is open to all Caribbean nationals.
What is the deadline?
Deadline is on October 31st, 2022, midnight. Good Luck!
When will I know if I am selected?
On or before December 12th, 2022 by 6 pm EST you will be notified if you were successful or if your application did not make it to the final three.
Who owns the rights to my treatment?
If selected, the LAB will own the rights to the treatment and the writer will be paid a flat fee of US$2000. If you are unsuccessful, then all ownership will return to you and the LAB or any other parties will have no rights over it.
Can I submit multiple treatments?
You are able to send multiple submissions. However, we recommend you focus on your strongest ideas.

Who will be judging the treatments?
The panel will comprise of knowledgeable film practitioners, established literary writers and international film production and distribution personnel.

Can I submit work submitted elsewhere?
We will not be able to accept work that is part of a current competition or being reviewed by anyone or any other company. If your treatment has been submitted but was not successful, we will be able to accept it. Treatments should be free of any encumbrances.
Can I enter as a pair/group?
We welcome submissions from groups (no larger than 3 persons). However, the prize money and support remain the same. The money and details will be shared with the ‘lead’ who will share accordingly. Please also detail what role each participant holds. If necessary, also state what weighting of ownership each party has. E.g. 50/50, 40/60 etc.
